Everything We Recommend Before Your Big Day
Planning a wedding is exciting, emotional and, let’s be honest, a little stressful. Between dress fittings, seating charts and trying to keep everyone happy, it’s easy to forget about looking after yourself. One thing I’ve learnt after years in the treatment room is this: your wedding isn’t the time to start experimenting. It’s the time to look like the very best version of yourself.
At Queen Bee Salon & Spa, we’ve helped countless brides, grooms and bridal parties prepare for their big day. While we don’t offer hair, manicures or pedicures, we’re happy to recommend some wonderful local businesses we trust. What we do offer is everything from award-winning brow shaping and waxing to customized facials, lash lifts and custom airbrush spray tans to help you walk down the aisle feeling your absolute best.
Bridal Facials
One of the biggest mistakes we see is someone booking their very first facial the week before their wedding. Please don’t! If your skin decides it doesn’t love a new product or treatment, you’ve just added unnecessary stress to an already busy week. If you’re short on time, book a customized Signature Facial around four weeks before your wedding. It’s a wonderful way to gently exfoliate, deeply hydrate and give your skin a healthy glow. If you’re an organized bride (you know who you are), even better. Start a few months beforehand and let us create a facial plan that’s tailored to your skin. Healthy, balanced skin always photographs beautifully.
Wedding Spray Tans
A custom airbrush spray tan is one of our most requested bridal services, and for good reason. Our award-winning spray tans are completely customized to your skin tone and undertones, so you look naturally sun-kissed rather than orange. If you’ve never had a spray tan before, we always recommend a trial about a month before the wedding. Once we’ve found your perfect color, we’ll book your wedding tan approximately two days before the big day. We can also accommodate bridal parties, and in some locations, we’ll even come to you.
Bridal Waxing
Whether it’s a Brazilian wax, bikini wax or full body waxing, preparation is everything. We always recommend having your first wax well before your wedding. Ideally, we’d like to see you two or three times before the big day. Your skin becomes more accustomed to waxing, hair grows back finer and you’ll know exactly what to expect. The week of your wedding should never be your first Brazilian.
Wedding Brows
Brows frame your face and appear in every single photograph you’ll ever look back on. At Queen Bee, we don’t use stencils or chase trends. Every brow is tailored to your face, your features and the look you want for your wedding day. If you’re considering brow tinting or brow lamination, we recommend trying it well before the wedding so there are no surprises.
Lash Lifts
If you’re dreaming of soft, effortless lashes that look beautiful from the moment you wake up, a lash lift is a brilliant choice. Whether we recommend a traditional lash lift or our Korean Lash Lift depends entirely on your natural lashes. We always assess your lashes first before deciding which technique will give you the best result. Many brides love pairing a lash lift with a tint for naturally defined lashes that still look beautiful without makeup.
Our Advice?
Don’t leave your beauty preparations until the last minute. The best wedding results happen when you give yourself enough time to prepare, rather than trying to squeeze everything into the week before the ceremony. We’re here to help you plan a beauty timeline that works for you, whether you’re the bride, groom or part of the bridal party.
