I’m a Long Island girl who was destined to the work in the beauty industry. Growing up, I spent many weekends helping my mom run her salon on the Island. As most of us know, life takes over, and I left the salon environment and Long Island to work in some of Beverly Hills’ top retail boutiques, selling fine jewelry and clothing.
I found my way back to esthetics in a slightly scary way! I’m a dog lover and whilst kissing and petting a friend’s dog he bit me on the upper lip! It took a year, but with the help of my plastic surgeon and his esthetician, we fought the scar I was afraid I would end up with. During the recovery process I fell in love with the kindness of the esthetician who did my treatments. That experience sparked a memory and a desire for a career change. It took me five years before I took a leap of faith and enrolled in the Newberry School of Beauty and that has proven to be the best thing I’ve ever done for myself.
I LOVE WAXING GUYS! From the moment I waxed my first male client, I knew my passion was revealed. My dream to become a professional male Brazilian and body waxer was created. I love waxing everyone but I’m passionate about educating guys that they too can and should get “brozillians.” In my experience once a guy does, he’ll keep coming back. Plus it’s better to be clean NOT shaven!!
It’s taken me a long time to say I love my job, my career and coming to work every day. I owe that to my Mom, Jodi, that little dog that bit me and my favorite saying, “everything happens for a reason!!!!”
Oh and as for dogs…I spend ALL my spare time loving my two pit bulls, Frankie and Shuggie.
