My name is Mickley, pronounced(Mick-lee), and I am a native Angeleno. My family has lived here for three generations, and I couldn’t imagine living anywhere else. When I was a child my mother was a model so I was always fascinated by beauty and skincare products. I used to spend hours creating my own homemade masks and scrubs with ingredient labels.
After high school, I went to UCLA with the hope of becoming a marriage and family therapist. While I was there, I started working as a makeup and skincare consultant for Christian Dior where I realized that I really enjoyed the skin consultation much more than the makeup application. After graduating from college I got married and then got pregnant with the love of my life, my daughter, Samantha.
After several years and a divorce, I needed to start a new career path. With my love of skincare and my desire to help people, becoming an Aesthetician was a perfect choice. After cosmetology school, I landed my first job at a Japanese luxury spa in Santa Monica. As the only American representative, I was personally tutored by an Aesthetician from Japan who re-educated me and taught me my massage technique, my knowledge of skin, and how to pamper clients. I then moved into spa aesthetics for fifteen years and then transitioned to medical aesthetics, where I had been for the last four years. The beauty of Queen Bee is that I get the best of both worlds, luxury, and result-driven skincare. My passion is to be able to educate my clients on how to care for their own skin using the right skincare and to offer skin treatments that offer results.
After work, you can find me walking my dogs, Henry and Noel, and enjoying time with my family and lifelong friends. I look forward to meeting you and I am thrilled to be one of the bees!
