I am a native Angeleno, born and raised in Venice, California. My roots are firmly planted here. My dad, my son and I were all been raised in the same house my grandfather bought in 1943. I can’t imagine living anywhere else.
After high school, I went to work in the corporate world but quickly realized that wasn’t for me. I was too obsessed with hair and skin so when a friend recommended I become an esthetician, I didn’t hesitate to sign up at a local school. I honestly thought that I was going to be performing facials because I do love everything skincare but the more I worked on waxing, the more I realized that was my calling. Waxing is so satisfying for me and my inner Libra means I am a people pleaser, so I always aim to do a great job!
After graduating I took the first waxing job I was offered. It was a good first experience but I felt as though I was working in a factory. I didn’t like rushing my clients in and out and I really wanted more of a “community.” I had heard about Queen Bee through a friend of mine who got her Brazilian waxes and brows done here. Her brows always looked amazing (I can’t say about the Brazilian 😉 ) but she said it was the best she ever had.
I walked into Queen Bee with my resume in hand. Alex and Jodi interviewed me and I was offered a job as a waxer a couple of weeks later. My clients have become like an extended family for me. A perfect Queen Bee shift for me is my Friday night shift when I get to see all of my regular clients who are just excited for the weekend and I’m more than happy to get them ready for it!
Outside of Queen Bee, my job is my son who was awarded a scholarship to college for baseball. I’m a Dodgers fan for life and obviously, my dream would be to see my son playing here in LA.
