Brow Bee

Growing up with a mother who is a cosmetology instructor, I was given my first wax machine at the age of thirteen. She taught me how to wax myself and I've been doing so ever since.  I didn't ever think I would make a career out of it!

After a couple years of junior college I decided to go to Beauty School. Needless to say my mother was ecstatic - I mean, now I got to practice on her!!  I attended California Beauty College in Northern California twelve years ago and graduated with my cosmetology license. For over ten years now, it has been like a dream come true - I am able to work on my clients' hair, their makeup and also use my artistic side with brow arching.

About two years ago, I was 30 and single, and needed a change of scene, so I transferred to Los Angeles with the Benefit. I really wanted to make a name for myself in this industry and was determined to make it happen!

A brow client of mine was going to Queen Bee for her waxing, and mentioned to me that Jodi was always complimenting her brows. I heard that Jodi was always on the lookout for 'NewBees' so I contacted her immediately.  So here I am, since October 2011, a permanent and happy employee at the Queen Bee Salon & Spa in Brentwood and Culver City (thank you Lexa Mendoza!!)

I love my career and I'm so thankful to Jodi for the opportunity. Life couldn't be better between spending my time here at the Hive and back home up North with my wonderful boyfriend Jody! Yes my boss and boyfriend have the same first name!!!
