I began my career in the spa field as a massage therapist in the late 90s. While working at the spa at The Penninsula Beverly Hills, I seized the opportunity to add body treatments such as mud wraps and salt scrubs to my repertoire. One day, I was treating an Arabian princess to a mud wrap in a beautiful room filled with candles. Once I had wrapped her up, I was to massage her scalp. Well, my massage oil tipped over into a candle and caused a small fire in the room. I kept my cool and tossed water on it. Bad move! This caused a bigger fire. Finally, I grabbed a towel and managed to stamp out the flame—but not before the mummified princess became completely distraught and panic-stricken. A few years later, despite this spa faux pas, I returned to school for my esthetician license, and am proud to say that my massage oil has not joined forces with an open flame since!

When I’m not de-fuzzing clients, you will find me with my loving husband of 18 years, raising three spirited daughters who are our biggest cheerleaders. They are the rock that keeps me grounded and provide the purpose to push forward. What a splendid life!
